People from one group cannot tag people from other group within the same repository.
Summary
Since around 25th of Oct users in our groups are not able to tag people from other group within the same repository.
Consider these two users in separate groups:
- @lenakoehler in https://gitlab.com/groups/GoOutNet/DE/-/group_members
- @nowakova in https://gitlab.com/groups/GoOutNet/CZ/Content/-/group_members
Consider a repository with both these groups added as members:
As both of these groups are added, we can confirm both of these users can access the repository and create issues. However once one of them wants to tag someone from other group, the autocompletion for tagging doesn't work. It seems they can tag only people who are directly inherited (@matejlaitl and @knyttl) in this case and no one else. It looks like the groups are ignored for the tagging autocompletion.
Steps to reproduce
- Login as @nowakova
- Try to create a new issue in IssueTracker repository
- Try to tag @knyttl - the tag autocompletion will work
- Try to tag @lenakoehler - the tag autocompletion will not work even though her group is added to the repository
Example Project
https://gitlab.com/GoOutNet/IssueTracker/
What is the current bug behavior?
People cannot tag people from other groups in same repository.
What is the expected correct behavior?
People should be able to tag each other.
