folder takes a lot of space /var/opt/gitlab/gitlab-rails/shared/registry
Hello together,
we have a self hosted gitlab with of course some projects.
Since some weeks the disk is running out of space and I found in /var/opt/gitlab/gitlab-rails/shared/registry/docker/registry/v2
There I have the folders blobs (64,9GiB) and repositories (131,4MiB)
There are only three projects using the container registry.
What are the blobs, do I need them? Can I delete them manually? I tried the command: gitlab-ctl registry-garbage-collect
and got some "marking blob sha256:..." with failed to garbage collect: failed to mark: filesystem: filesystem: invalid checksum digest format Failed to run garbage-collect command, starting registry service. ok: run: registry: (pid 4518) 1s
My registry/config.yml:
version: 0.1
log:
level: info
formatter: text
fields:
service: registry
environment: production
storage: {"filesystem":{"rootdirectory":"/var/opt/gitlab/gitlab-rails/shared/registry"},"cache":{"blobdescriptor":"inmemory"},"delete":{"enabled":true}}

service: container_registry

rootcertbundle: /var/opt/gitlab/registry/gitlab-registry.crt

What can I do to clean it up? If we shouldn´t delete it, the other way is to resize the disk.
With best regards Sebastian
