Renaming in the Web IDE causes file changes to be lost
Summary
When renaming a directory in the Web IDE there are a few errors that are presented:
- Banner error that there was a problem creating the path
- If a file inside of the directory that is renamed has also been changed, two versions of the file can be staged for commit
- If both files are staged and committed only the file that existed before the directory rename is saved (this causes data loss)
- Renaming the directory doesn't move all the files in the directory to the new path
Steps to reproduce
Example Project
The video was recorded based on this project: https://gitlab.com/phikai/my-public-test-project/tree/master
What is the current bug behavior?
Files inside of the directory that are renamed are not moved or correctly saved to the project upon commit.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Renaming of the directory should update the path of the files and keep any changes to those files.
