Rendering literate code in the browser
Problem to solve
When I migrated my code over to Gitlab, I was a bit disappointed that the stuff I wrote with Literate CoffeeScript doesn't render the markdown version of the code.
Further details
Since I don't think it would be a huge amount of work, I think the utility of literate code is worth it. It is a good way to force the developer to document the code, and it makes it easier for newcomers to see the updates.
Proposal
I don't think it would be terribly difficult to fix this (just look for the extension .litcoffee
and invoke the regular Markdown renderer).
Conceivably, you could have a set of other extensions to do this as well.
What does success look like, and how can we measure that?
Success would be making this look like this
