Mention in emails when a comment has been edited by using an image
Why
Comments often change leaving the version in the notification email out of date. Sometimes this can be confusing, incomplete, or the comment could even have been deleted. It would be nice if there was some way for us to forewarn when an edit has taken place.
What
Find a way to have the emails mention when comments have been edited. One idea could be to use an image which might initially be blank, but instead redirect/return an image mentioning the edit/deletion.
Caching could cause a problem, but this could still be an improvement when the edit happens soon after the comment is posted. Using a query string might mitigate this according to http://redant.com.au/how-we-do/cache-busting-gmail-new-image-caching/ http://redant.k8s.redant.com.au/how-we-do/cache-busting-gmail-new-image-caching/
