Allow for Service Desk to have a separate configurable email address displayed to users in UI
When using a mail system that routes on the local part of an email address, it would be nice to have the ability to configure a separate email address for the users to see in the UI.
Allow for a separate, configurable email address for users to see in the UI when using Service Desk. In this case, the customer is using an Exchange that is routing their emails based on the local part of the address. They would like for this current email that GitLab builds (based on the project)the be used by GitLab. However, they want the ability to configure a more friendly address to be displayed in the UI.
Regarding the image below, they would like to dislay something like
email@example.com to their users in the UI instead of
firstname.lastname@example.org. They will handle the routing of emails from
email@example.com in their exchange server.
