馃殌 GitLab Workspaces: Phase 2 - Design Exploration & MVC Mockups
Tasks
Create designs for:
-
As a new Gold customer, what is the experience of registering for and creating a workspace for the first time?
-
What does a Workspace look like compared to the "top level" groups beneath it? Would it look similar to the screen shot below, but with a lot less menu items?
For example, it would include "Instance level" functions such as: Analytics/Dashboards, Create Open Source group (public), Create private group, Epics, Boards and Issues can stay at the top level, Admin menu, User/Team Management, etc. but things like Kubernetes, Security/Compliance, Merge Requests etc would drop down to the group level.
Current top level group
- Designs for a custom/branded login page with custom URL (if set) that provides the feel of separation/isolation from the rest of gitlab.com for the customer. Group Admins should be able to set some basic branding settings (logo, colours etc.) and set the copy on the page to their own messaging. They can configure a custom URL if they want (this is without SSO turned on). Show this login page from the perspective of a group/workspace managed account user.
Side note: Include a navbar item within Projects, Groups, Workspaces and More in the designs to illustrate that a user could be an owner/admin of more than one Workspace on gitlab.com.
