Cannot search for issues with the word "label" without fancy JS doing the wrong thing

This bug affects the issue search on any GitLab instance, here's the reproduction procedure for this very instance:

1. Go to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/issues
2. Type "scoped label" in the search box and press enter
3. Good luck finding what you wanted.
