GitLab markdown special reference for project@HEAD
Description
A useful addition to GitLab Markdown would be the ability to resolve project@HEAD
to the latest commit on master (or alternatively, something like project:master
.
My use case for this is bug reporting templates. In these we require the reporter to specify the version affected, and feedback is that it's almost always "the latest". While it isn't much effort to go and find out the hash of the latest commit, some people just write "latest", which isn't very useful later on.
Proposal
Add a "Special GitLab reference" which resolves to the current HEAD commit at the time of submitting the issue/making the comment.
