### Problem We have two problems: inconsistency and non-seamless flow. Web IDE has a loader page. When the user opens the Web IDE, they look at the "Web IDE is loading" page.  Workspaces don't have any loader page. When the user opens the Workspace, they look at the grid with all the workspaces. If the user has a few, they could lose the new one or be distracted. [We want to integrate Web IDE into Workspaces.](https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/9896) So if we have different flows for starting the Web IDE and Workspaces, this flow will be non-seamless. ### User experience goal Do not be distracted by the GitLab interface (badges, notifications, etc) while Workspace is starting. Get a consistent experience with Web IDE and Workspaces. --- ### Proposal - Change the Web IDE loader page.
