On all my android devices (tablet, phone) gitlab consistently opens the collapsible sidebar *each time* I enter a new page. Now, it's not only that the sidebar should remember its state across pages and even sessions, it's also that it should be collapsed by default when it partially hides the page main content. Currently using gitlab on mobile is annoying and frustrating because of this detail. I think I've reported this same problem at least two years ago and it was indeed fixed for desktop screen sizes but never really addressed for my smaller devices.
