In June 2020, Python overtook Java to become the world’s 2nd most popular programming language ([according to RedMonk’s ranking](https://redmonk.com/sogrady/2020/07/27/language-rankings-6-20/)), yet GitLab doesn’t provide any built-in templates for Python projects.
