I'd suggest you add a way to block certain notification types. Currently, I'm getting tons of emails from my colleagues for every single line they make a code comment on during their review, as well as the discussion comments.
It becomes a tangled mess of discussion comments and line comments which I have to wade through and stay on top off, reading every single email carefully to determine when the review is done so I can start fixing things. But, it also confuses my colleagues in the way that they have to be really explicit in telling me that their code review is done, so I can start fixing things, usually by walking over and telling me face to face.
I'd like to suggest to get the ability to squelch/suppress line comment notifications but keep getting notified of discussion comments/posts. That way, I can tell my colleagues to do line commenting like they always do, but when they're finally done, they type in a post in the discussion-tab, which in turn notifies me via email (if I've configured my settings that Gitlab should do so).
