In https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ee/commit/fccd7cb815e1b68f3ad7db8a3bfb3c9e48b7949e, @balasankarc specified that a minimum of version 1.30 should be used for backups.
I tested backup using 1.27 and it seem to have went fine.
Proposal
Clarify why a minimum of 1.30 is needed, or change the minimum version.
Who can address the issue
@balasankarc, I guess, since he added the relevant documentation.
