Geo DNS issue

We were able to isolate the root cause of the error. We have set all of our GEO nodes to use the same name of the primary GitLab DNS hostname (not IP) in order to avoid developers checking in code that references the absolute path in submodules and breaking things. By using an individual DNS name for a GEO node the error went away. Do you have a suggestion for our scenario?
