Spike: Duo Agent Platform Self-Hosted models for GitLab Dedicated

Goal

Investigate the system design and implementation approach for supporting customer Self-Hosted models for Duo Agent Platform on GitLab Dedicated. This will help us inform scheduling the work, and overall go-to-market planning.

Assumptions

This offering will include a single-tenant AIGW deployed within each GitLab Dedicated customer's isolated AWS environment, managed by GitLab as part of the fully-managed service model. This effort will most likely be led to the platform team(s) but we will partner with them.

Scope

Research the technical approach for:

• Supporting self-hosted models within a single-tenant AIGW as part of GitLab Dedicated
• Supporting Duo Agent Platform
  • Do not need to focus on classic Duo
• Limited to AWS only, based on our current GitLab Dedicated offering
• Limited to Dedicated Commercial initially
  • Government / PubSec can be subsequent iterations
