UX: Improve analytics dashboard discovery for Duo Agent Platform launch
Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.
Problem
Users struggle to find analytics dashboards (for example: GitLab Duo and SDLC trends) due to complex navigation requiring prior knowledge of group/project location and multiple steps through Analyze → Analytics dashboards. Additionally, AI Catalog and CI/CD Catalog users cannot easily access related analytics.
As a first pass at increasing discoverability, we should:
- Add contextual links to relevant analytics throughout the interface
- Improve dashboard accessibility from the homepage (Your work menu) and Explore menu
Proposals
1. Add a way to link the GitLab Duo and SDLC trends dashboard from the AI catalog

Note: In the future we should also look into leveraging the same pattern for linking the CD/CI analytics dashboard from the CI/CD Catalog.
2. Add a way to access analytics dashboards from the homepage (Your work menu)
- Add a new "Analytics dashboards" nav item under "Activity" that links to
/explore/analytics/dashboards/select-group-or-project/. - Clicking on
Analytics dashboardswill open a new page called "Select group or project" that will direct the user to the correct Analytics dashboard list view.
