Allow quick filtering of subgroups by first letter

Allow wildcard searching or filtering subgroups by the first character. Search field has a 3 character minimum. When you have over 500 subgroups, its difficult to jump to specific subgroups starting with letter M, as example. You need to randomly click through pages of subgroups to find ones starting with M. Wildcards don't seem to work either. M** M%% didn't work.
