Markdown inline input rules not not working correctly

I noticed the following issues on the rich text editor:

1. I can't highlight and add `` or () to a text just by clicking that button (auto-wrap)
2. When I use `` for code highlighting, the experience becomes inconsistent, sometimes it gets replaced with actual highlighting, other times the highlighting turns to content and when I try to edit, some characters disappear from the beginning of the string
