Browsing the issues on our self-managed, self-installed GitLab instance I just saw this ad

I understand GitLab is a business and has to pay its bills, but showing these ads to users is terrible UX, since most users of GitLab instances will not be in the position to follow up on the Try it for free or even to exert any real influence in this regard.

There should be a way to disable these promotions, at the very least for regular users.
