Improve error state when Run query fails

Description

Pre-emptively making this issue to improve the error state when running a bad query. This is currently a placeholder, we can improve the description once #570014 (closed) is complete, which will give us a better idea of what improvements need to be made.

We should also investigate validating the GLQL input before the query is run, since we should be able to detect errors before attempting the query.
