Background

As part of the recent homepage diary study, we heard the following:

Hide Unused Sections: Aim for an interface without sections that are irrelevant to the user. Explore customization (hide/show) and personalization possibilities.

This is consistent with feedback we heard in previous studies. Not everyone uses all parts of the product so having some ability to refine what's displayed can help streamline the homepage for people.

Possible proposal

Introduce the ability to show/hide different homepage widgets. Some initial designs have already been explored for this, which we can continue to refine.
