Expand notifications for domain verification to include any change to the domain verification status, including project removal or archive events that result in the domain verified status being removed.
Problem Statement
Currently, domain verification notification emails are sent for events related to the domain setup and certificate creation. This does not cover when the domain project is deleted or archived. When this happens, the associated domain verification is removed without proper notification to relevant stakeholders.
This creates visibility gaps where:
- Domain owners are unaware their verification has been removed due to project changes
- Group administrators lose track of domain verification status changes
- No audit trail exists for domain verification removals caused by project lifecycle events
These notification emails serve a crucial role in an organization's management of domain verification. Expanding the triggers for notification emails to include relevant project lifecycle events is essential, as these events have the potential to significantly impact domain verification status.
