GitLab Premium with Duo & GitLab Ultimate with Duo - General Availability Release - May 2025

Overview

On 2025-05-15, GitLab announced general availability of GitLab Premium with Duo & GitLab Ultimate with Duo, which includes native AI capabilities at no additional cost. GitLab's native AI capabilities include Duo Chat and Duo Code Suggestions within the IDE to help development teams ship secure software faster:

• Analyze, understand, and explain code
• Write secure code faster with Duo
• Quickly generate tests to maintain code quality
• Easily refactor code to improve performance or use specific libraries

GitLab Premium with Duo & GitLab Ultimate with Duo are available in GitLab 18.0 (released on 2025-05-15) for GitLab.com and Self-Managed customers. These offerings will be available for Dedicated customers in the 18.0 release on 2025-06-19.
