.ico favicon messed up on merge requests
Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.
On merge requests (and possibly other places), GitLab tries to modify the favicon and add a little symbol in the corner. The problem is that it doesn't do this correctly, messing up the icon.
See the following screenshot, where the original favicon is in the second tab, and the modified one in the left:
I'm guessing the issue is with the fact that we have a .ico favicon, as the modified one is a png one.
Having a .ico favicon is essential to work around all the weird bugs in the different browsers. GitLab should either leave it alone, or modify it perfectly (change every image in the .ico, and retain dimensions and order).
