Duo Amazon Q add-on page design

Overview

Currently, Amazon Q is available for Ultimate license, which means GitLab Duo page (/admin/gitlab_duo) cannot be used to display any information related to Amazon Q. As a result, we have the following UX

  • Visit Admin -> Settings -> General
  • Scroll to GitLab Duo with Amazon Q section and expand
  • Click View configuration setup button

Clicking the button leads to a page to configure Amazon Q. Previously, it was a general page, now it's Integrations -> Amazon Q page.

Duo with Amazon Q

When GitLab Duo with Amazon Q add-on has been recently introduced, GitLab Duo page became available. However, this add-on is different from Pro and Enterprise, because it doesn't require seat assignments. It means that the current page contains sections/information that is unrelated to the add-on.

In Hide seat assignments for Amazon Q licenses (!186408 - merged) we remove the unrelated sections from the page to simply have:

But we still have multiple places to view/configure Amazon Q:

  • The GitLab Duo with Amazon Q section in general settings
  • GitLab Duo page
  • Integrations -> Amazon Q

Proposal

  • Remove GitLab Duo with Amazon Q section in general settings
  • Introduce an info card with some information related to Amazon Q configuration and a button to view/configure it
  • Leave the Integrations -> Amazon Q section as-is

Maybe something like this but nicer 🤔
