Design Exploration: Making "Embedded views" easier for non-technical users

GLQL requires users to write queries using YAML-based syntax, which creates a significant barrier for non-technical team members. Because query creation demands technical knowledge that many stakeholders and product managers don't possess, these users either avoid GLQL entirely or depend heavily on examples from documentation, or reach out to engineering colleagues for help. This leads to lower adoption of GLQL's capabilities and limits the organization's ability to track work effectively.
There's an opportunity to make GLQL more accessible to non-technical users, which would improve cross-functional collaboration and enable more team members to benefit from GitLab's rich data capabilities.
Users want to:
- Minimize the time it takes to track progress in real time
- Minimize the effort to communicate what scope will be delivered
