Design ideas: Reorganizing information wells in Repository pages

Issue

The information wells in the Repository pages take up a large amount of precious screen real estate at the top of the page. The directory and single file page can get cluttered as a result. Updates were made in &9913 (currently under implementation) to reduce clutter and make the page more usable.

How can we redesign the information wells to make the information just as usable, but more condensed?
