Edit of wikipages with WebGUI should not mutate line endings

When I edit wikipages something happens with line ending. When I edit in my local editor on Ubuntu something else happens.

It seems like the webpages removes or adds CRLF, and my editor changes all of the page to unix line endings (\n).

This issue is seen on Gitlab v17.1.1 on the wikipages. This seems very related to clsed issue #426805 (closed)
