Ambiguous password for replicate-geo-database step

In https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/gitlab-geo/database.html, we say:

When prompted, enter the password you set up for the gitlab_replicator user in the first step.

However, in step 3, we say:

Generate a MD5 hash of the desired password

Which password are we supposed to enter: the plaintext or the MD5 hash? Turns out the answer is MD5.
