Additions to the DORA Metrics Dashboard

Proposal

There are some features for the DORA metrics dashboard that would greatly increase its usability.

• Be capable of looking further into the projects contributing to the DORA Metrics
  • At present, the metrics will only show the number of projects that contribute to the score in the bar charts. For example, if the time to restore shows a low score without showing which projects belong to it
• Metrics at only the group level is too high level
  • It would be useful to be able to see the dora metrics for projects rather than just purely groups. This would help in seeing the progress of specific projects
• The averages used are inconsistent and there would be a benefit to being able to customise
  • At present the data used is either calculated using median or mean with little clarity as to why and which is used in each instance (this information was only gleaned from discussions with support). Clarity around this and the ability to change would be useful.
• Increased clarity as to where the data is coming from
  • The data in the dashboard is useful but where it is coming from is not clear. It would be useful to have greater understanding on what is feeding into the data and how it is calculated in order to allow thorough analysis of the data.
