Problem to solve

Many organizations, particularly in the U.S. federal government, use Windows containers due to specific requirements or software dependencies. The lack of support for scanning Windows containers in GitLab forces these organizations to employ third-party tools or manual processes to secure their deployments.

Proposal

GitLab should extend its container scanning capabilities to include support for Windows containers.
