Filter by 'sub-groups' in the Projects tab on the Compliance Center

Background

Users can use the 'Projects' tab in the compliance center to see the compliance frameworks that are applied to projects in a group. Each row of the report shows:

  • Project name.
  • Project path.
  • Compliance framework label if the project has one assigned.

Users can also bulk apply a compliance framework to multiple projects by:

  • Filtering down to specific projects by 'Compliance Framework' or 'Projects' filter
  • Selecting all the projects that apply;
  • Clicking on 'Apply Framework to Selected Projects';
  • Selecting the framework to apply to the selected projects; and
  • Selecting 'Apply'

Problem

An issue that has been identified is that users would like to be able to scope down to projects within a particular sub-group in order to bulk apply a specific compliance framework. At the moment, the only two filters that are on this page are:

  • Compliance Framework; and
  • Project

Solution

We would like to include a filter for 'Subgroup', with the same IS and IS NOT qualifiers to help users scope down to projects within a specific subgroup with which they can bulk apply a compliance framework.

As such, the ideal workflow should now look like this (bold for additions):

  • Filtering down to specific projects by 'Compliance Framework', 'Projects' or Sub-Group filter
  • Selecting all the projects that apply;
  • Clicking on 'Apply Framework to Selected Projects';
  • Selecting the framework to apply to the selected projects; and
  • Selecting 'Apply'
