Problem

While reviewing Zoekt implementation in production, it was noticed that the physical volumes are zonal and not regional. If we were to sustain a zonal outage, the pods associated with those PVs would probably not re-scheduled and restart correctly.

Possible Solution

It is recommended to possibly use regional PVs so that the data will be available in any zone during a zonal outage.
