GitLab hijacks browser's ALT+D (select address bar) with Duo window

ALT+D is the universally accepted shortcut to select / move focus to a window's address bar - this works across all browsers, across all platforms, and also in tools like file explorers.

Since recently, GitLab hijacks the ALT+D shortcut by instead opening the GitLab Duo window.

This is not good UX, nor accessibility-friendly.
