WorkItem Error when assigning a legacy epic parent
I saw that we have a few errors in our logs when assigning parents to epics. This seems to happen on either re-ordering or adding references. The error we see from the WorkItem is "Work item(s) already assigned"
.
We also see a mismatch in parent_id
for these records.
Next steps:
- Check the records from the comments in the prod db and see if there are really mismatches or not
- Try to replicate the problem
- Check how we can end up in an un-synced state even though there is a transaction around the update
