In command palette pressing ⌘+k doesn't open commands list

When I press ⌘+K with the command palette open, the commands list doesn't open.

Press ⌘+K with the command palette open and see that the commands list doesn't pop up.

The commands list does not open.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The commands list opens when I press ⌘+K.
