Support SSH signed commits in Push Rules
Release notes
Support SSH signed commits in Push Rules.
The Push Rules allow users to reject all commits which are not signed. This unfortunately only supports GPG
signed commits, which is a cumbersome limitation.
With the support of signing commits via SSH, it is now much simpler for Developers to properly sign their commits and add an additional layer of audition to their work. For Administrators it is now much simpler to enforce and support signed commits to their platform.
Problem to solve
SSH signed commits can not be enforced via Push Rules. UI for the Push Rule settings is not properly documenting current limitation to GPG.
Proposal
- Support SSH signed commits via the Push Rule
- Enhance documentation and UI to properly indicate the current limitation to
GPG
signed commits
