GitLab Pages: Hugo - Deployed Pages project can not load projects css and js files
Summary
GitLab Pages: Hugo - Deployed Pages project can not load projects css and js files.
Steps to reproduce
- Create
new project/repository
and selectcreate from template
- Goto
Pages/Hugo
and clickuse template
. Enter required details and click oncreate project
. - Once project is imported, navigate to
build
>pipelines
and click onrun pipeline
>run pipeline
. - Wait for pipeline jobs to complete.
- Navigate to
Stage:deploy
and copy the generated pages link. - Open new tab in chrome and enable developer tools using keyboard
F12
key. Paste the copied pages url in the url bar and click enter. - In developers tools navigate to
Network
tab and check failing css and js files load.

What is the current bug behavior?
The css and js file urls include 'hugo' instead of project-path in the url path, which is not allowing the files to load as the generated artifact files.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The css and js file urls should include project-path instead of 'hugo' in the url path.
