Browser performance testing failing to detect changes

I am seeing a strange error and not quite sure how to recover with browser performance testing. This may be related to on-going changes to the branches performance.json, commit to commit either to master or the source branch.

In short, the MR view is showing no changes to performance when there is clearly a difference in the persisted artifacts. I've tried restarting pipelines to fix the problem, but have not been able to fix it.

To do some further testing, I cloned the repo into a new project and replicated the same merge request. In this new project, the MR widget was properly showing the changes.
