Enhance accessibility and inclusiveness in job log
Problem to solve
The current job log conveys job progress primarily through text and colour. It might poses challenges for users with colour vision deficiencies, as they may struggle to interpret the status information effectively in a long job log. It may require users to spend more time reading, making it less efficient for quick status checks.
User experience goal
All users can easily and quickly understand the job progress in the log at a glance.
Ideas
Each job progress (e.g., skipping, executing, etc) will be represented by an easily recognisable icon.
Questions to answer / clarify
- Require research to determine if this is a genuine issue that needs to be addressed.
- Is it possible to display icons in the log console?
- Are there existing icon sets that are well-suited for representing job progresses?
- Are there any potential drawbacks associated we should be aware of?
