Warning for users who add potentially sensitive syntax into public issues
Proposal
Add GitLab DLP type scanning feature for public issues to scan for potentially sensitive syntax, attachments, and data elements. Some examples can include:
- Customer Information
- Social Security Numbers
- Credit Card Numbers
- Health Insurance IDs
- Customer Repos
What does success look like:
The GitLab automated tool to scan public, comment history, and attachments and write the sensitive findings to a CSV file linked to your GitLab account. A warning notification is sent to the user with the output of the CSV file to provide a user report of the sensitive data found to the GitLab user account.
