Free SaaS GitLab 100MiB per file push limit - Feedback

Please provide any feedback, suggestions, or comments regarding the 100MiB per file push limit we recently started to enforce on GitLab SaaS for free tier projects. In particular:

1. What's your use case for checking in files larger than 100MiB into your repository?
2. Is there something that prevents LFS from being a viable alternative to checking in large files into the repository?
