Make "Contributed Projects" more easily accessible on the web interface

Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.

Release notes

Add a mechanism to easily navigate to "Contributed Projects" in the Projects navigation page.

Problem to solve

Contributed Projects are not easily accessible from any of the navigation shortcuts in the web interface.

This is problematic for people who manage a large organization (with 100s of projects) AND contribute to a subset of those projects.

We can go through our contributed projects and star them by hand. OTOH the list already exists under our profile, so it should be more easily accessible.

Proposal

  • Add "Contributed Projects" as a shortcut in one of the tabs of the Projects dashboard ShortcutLocations
  • Alternatively (or in addition), add "Contributed Projects" as an option for the Homepage PreferencesShortcutSelector
  • This could also be added to the "Activity" navigation tab, but honestly that's a little less interesting.

Intended users

Program Manager, Team Lead(s), Release Manager(s), DevOps and Operator(s), as described here:
