Impossible to reach user profile from the sidebar if Gravatar failed to load
Summary
With new design (introduced 5 months ago), if user's Gravatar fails to load, then it's impossible for the user to guess how to reach their profile from the sidebar.
Steps to reproduce
- Install uBlock Origin (or any other ad-blocker that lets you easily pick which hosts to block)
- In uBlock Origin Settings, tick "I am an advanced user" (so you can block individual hosts instead of subscribing to an ad-blocking list)
- Open gitlab.com, log in
- Open uBlock Origin and disallow access to gravatar.com
- Press Shift+F5 to reload the page, overriding the cache
What is the current bug behavior?
There's no indication that there's a "user profile" button after the "Hide sidebar" and "Create new..." buttons in the sidebar:
With some pixel-hunting, I can find a small dot to the right of "Create new..." button that will take me to my profile, but that requires the knowledge that the button is there.
What is the expected correct behavior?
I'd like to see a clickable button that says "User profile" or something.
