License Compliance setting available through REST API

Proposal

Gitlab offers it's self-managed users the possibility to change instance settings via REST API calls.

Currently the option to choose package registry metadata to sync with the GitLab License Database for License Compliance is currently not supported via the REST API.

Would it be possible to incorporate this setting into the REST API?
