Please open source the new Rich Text Editor as standalone and embeddable component

There are very few (close to none) WYSIWYG markdown editors that are full-featured and just work. This looks like it may be one. Would be great. Are there docs on embedding it?
I fully agree, your Rich Text Editor seems it is working very well.
There's obviously a reason you built your own component: You didn't find anything satisfactory already on the market. By providing a great solution everyone can just go and use, besides gaining you the usual open source good will, you could also increase Gitlab-Markdown's popularity. That sounds like it could be a bit of free marketing, in places you wouldn't usually otherwise reach. Not sure if this is convincing or passes your cost/benefit analysis, but I wonder if it's something you've considered.

It would be nice if you would consider open sourcing the Rich Text Editor. Or at least set up some docs on how to embed the editor in other projects besides the GitLab codebase.
