Protected branches API documentation does not document deploy_key_id

Protected branches API documentation does list in example responses deploy_key_id for push_access_levels but it never documents what that is, how can one set it using API, or update it. I am guessing that you can use it as hash of the form {deploy_key_id: integer}? But is that supported? Could this be documented?
