Summary

Existing commits are not synced after linking a group on GitLab for Jira Cloud app contrary to the documentation which states existing branches and commits are synced for GitLab 15.11 and later

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create an issue on Jira Cloud
  2. Create a new project on Gitlab.com
  3. Add some commits referencing the Jira issue ID
  4. Create an MR referencing the Jira issue ID
  5. Add some commits to the MR referencing the Jira issue ID
  6. Install the GitLab for Jira Cloud app on Jira
  7. Link the parent namespace for the project on the GitLab for Jira Cloud app
  8. Open the issue on Jira wait some minutes and refresh
  9. Note that the MR (Pull request) and the Branch are synced but the commits are not
