🎨 Design: Navigation between organizations refinement
Finalize designs based on user testing, and get final design to be approved by groupfoundations.
In the user menu, we can have the current organization listed serving the purposes of:
- A way for the user to see what organization they are currently in.
- It is the user + organization that determines the counts of the items below so locating them together and above the counts seems like a good idea
- The proximity to the breadcrumb that will likely often begin with the organization helps to reinforce
☝ - It also gives the user direct access to their current organization
- The organization's "front page" contains a Link button ("Switch organizations") that navigates the user to
Your work > Organizations
In the global search modal, we can list the organizations.
- We can place organization below frequent projects/groups
- (We would have to build) but users could also use search to jump more directly to an organization if they knew their destination.
We can also create an organization section in your work to account for "all organizations"
- Navigating to
Your work
would followUser Settings > Preferences > (Behavior) Homepage
- Navigating Your work > Organizations displays a list of organizations the user is associated with and indicates the current organization
- User can switch organization via the action on list items
- Switching organization updates all
Your work
items to be in the context of that organization and changes the navigation item to indicate the current organization.
